Shojo Edition - 1st printing. Story and art by by Chiho Saito. Elegance is a way of life at Ohtori Academy. For close to one hundred years, the elite boarding school has values tradition and ceremony above almost everything else. Into this academic milieu walks Utena Tnjou, a short-stressed teenaged girl who favors trim-cut boys clothing. Almost immediately, she finds herself embroiled in sword duels, knotty romantic entanglements and a string of shady alliances. There's a cloud of mystery hanging over the campus of Ohtori and everyone Utena meets harbors a dark and twisted secret. A liberal adaptation of the movie by the same name, The Adolescence of Utena veers wildly from its original source. More direct than the anime and more mature than the original manga series, this version of Chiho Saito's fractured fairy tale blasts Utena straight into the iconic stratosphere. Written by Thomas Zachek. Art and cover by Mike Grell.

Eric Benton, an idealistic young Midwestern Peace Corps volunteer, could hardly have known that his mission to help an African village would embroil him and his colleagues in the political struggles of an emerging African nation.

The people of central Africa likewise had no idea how quickly their expectations for freedom could be taken away when a ruthless dictator seizes power. And Tarzan of the Apes had no idea that before long, he would be compelled, once again, to undertake a long and perilous journey with the Waziri to save their families.

Set against a backdrop of political unrest in modern Africa, Thomas Zachek's latest page-turner takes the reader from the dank treasure troves of the lost city of Opar to turmoil in the city streets as Tarzan battles one of his most ruthless foes!

1st Printing - Written by John T. Flynn. My purpose in writing this book is to attempt to describe the road along which this country is traveling to its destruction. Human societies come under the influence of great tides of thought and appetite that run unseen deeply below the surface of society. After a while these powerful streams mass along with them without the individuals in the mass being aware of the direction in which they are going. Up to a certain point it is possible to resist these controlling tides and to reverse them, but a time comes when they are so strong that society loses its power of decision over the direction in which it is going. I believe we are now moving along under the dominion of such tides and that all things we do to deal with our accumulating perils are futile because we do not understand the tides nor the direction in which they are carrying us. I believe that we still have in our hands the means of checking this onrush to disaster. Softcover Digest, 4.5" x 7", 208 pages, B&W, text only.

2nd or later printing - Written by John T.

Their Blood Got Mixed GN (2022 PM Press) Revolutionary Rojava and the War On Isis 1-1ST

    1st printing.

Story and art by Janet Biehl.

In the summer of 2012 the Kurdish people of northern Syria set out to create a multiethnic society in the Middle East. Syria plunged into civil war, the Kurds and their Arab and Assyrian allies established a self-governing polity that was not only multiethnic but democratic. And women were not only permitted but encouraged to participate in all social roles alongside men, including political and military roles. To implement these goals, Rojava wanted to live in peace with its neighbors. Instead, it soon faced invasion by ISIS, a force that was in every way its opposite.

When ISIS attacked the mostly Kurdish city of Kobane and overran much of it, the YPG and YPJ, or people's militias, declined to flee. Instead they resisted, and several countries, seeing their valiant resistance, formed an international coalition to assist them militarily.
