Blunder Woman (1967 Topps) Wonder Woman Parody 1
    • Consignment. 3% buyer's premium charged at checkout. Graded by MCS, not consignor.

Krazy Little Comics (1967 Topps): Blunder Woman is one of sixteen parody mini-comics originally produced as test market items in 1967, by the Topps Chewing Gum Company. They did not see full national distribution. All were written by Roy Thomas and feature Wally Wood cover and interior art. These minis spoof not only Marvel and DC super-heroes, but other comic characters as well, like the Phantom, Prince Valiant, and Tarzan. These possibly predate, or are at least contemporaneous with, Not Brand Ecch! #1 (08/1967), and are among the rarest of the Merry Marvel Marching Society era items. Full color, 2.5-in. x 3.5-in., no cover price.

Wonder Woman Amazon/Hero/Icon HC (2010 Universe Publishing) 1st Edition 1-1ST

    1st Edition - 1st printing.

By Robert Greenberger. Foreword by George Perez. Cover by Alex Ross.

Wonder Woman offers a comprehensive look at the first and most important female super hero of DC Comics, from the Golden Age to the present day. During her existence, she has served in the army, renounced her powers at the height of the feminist movement, and helped launch Gloria Steinem's Ms. magazine. She has been - and continues to be - a trailblazing role model to girls and women and an integral part of the cultural zeitgeist. Loosely chronological, Wonder Woman explores idiosyncratic creator William Moulton Marston's interest in ideas of a "new woman" for the twentieth century; costume and character story changes over the decades; the influence on all other female comic book characters since her inception; and how Wonder Woman is still powerful and relevant in today's comic book renaissance.

The book contains more than 250 Wonder Woman illustrations from such celebrated artists as Alex Ross, Jim Lee, George Perez, and Brian Bolland, including covers, interior comic art, and sketch treatments, beginning with her inception in the early 1940s to present-day treatments of the character.

    Hardcover, 9-in. x 12-in., 208 pages, full color.

    Cover price $35.00.

Princess Diana of Themyscira believes that her 16th birthday will be one of new beginnings-namely, acceptance into the warrior tribe of the Amazons. But her birthday celebrations are cut short when rafts carrying refugees break through the barrier that separates her island home from the outside world. When Diana defies the Amazons to try to bring the outsiders to safety, she finds herself swept away by the stormy sea. Cut off from everything she's ever known, Diana herself becomes a refugee in an unfamiliar land.
