In auction ending July 17from Uncanny X-Men (1963 1st Series) Annual 18
1994 Marvel
Possibly intended to open the lead story in this annual (which Churchill also penciled), this fantastic double page splash was instead published in the issue as a pinup. Churchill delivers a classic horror movie scene here with the (outwardly) monstrous Caliban looming over a group of unsuspecting teens just trying to have a good time. Signed by the artist in the lower right margin of page 63. Pencil on two sheets of Marvel Comics art board attached on the reverse with tape. Overlays are attached to both pages at the top with tape, one features notes for the colorist and the other features the title for the piece, 'Caliban Hunts'. Full piece measures 22" x 17".
