A fantastic cliffhanger splash as Checkmate has finally tracked down the Dark Knight thanks to a tracking device inserted into Huntress when she was in their custody. Robinson and Beatty make great use of negative space here, cutting through the murk of the sewer tunnel that leads to the Batcave with large blank areas depicting the harsh glow of the Checkmate operatives' tactical flashlights. Pencil and ink on DC Comics art board. 11 1/4" X 17".
