The original art is pencil and ink on three sheets of art board which have been affixed to each other on the reverse with tape. The full measurements for the piece are 23" x 15 1/2". The color guide is watercolor on paper and measures 13" x 7 3/4". NOTE: Original series artist Dan Heilman left the strip some time in 1965 and was replaced by Harold LeDoux.
