As Earth's Mightiest Heroes deal with one of their most controversial adventures in the birth of Carol Danvers' "son", it seems that the baby's rapid physical and mental development isn't the only time trouble facing the team! In this lushly illustrated page Vision and Scarlet Witch observe the chaos on a monitor (dig the tiny Iron Man!) before coming face to face with an anachronism of their own. Perez's layouts are magnificent as we see the high-tech, greeble-covered hallways of the Avengers' headquarters give way to medieval banners and stone fences turning the scene into a full tourney by the end of the page. The staging is fantastic as well, especially in the large fourth panel where Wanda's leg casts just as imposing a figure as the knight on horseback. Signed by Perez in lower margin. Pencil, ink, and screentone on DC Comics art board. 10 1/2" x 16".
