In the dystopian future of 2001 A.D., a totalitarian regime reigns supreme, stamping out all opposition and wrongthink with an iron fist- or in this case, a green fist! Recovered from a mysterious pod found in the lab of a subversive scientist, the being known as Morlock accepts his government handlers' commands and proceeds to use his terrifying powers on a writer who produces anti-regime poetry. Horrified by his actions, Morlock begins a slow rebellion thanks to this pivotal moment! Beautiful work here, especially on Morlock's face in the fourth panel and in the sixth where we see the poet in a...vegetative state. Also included is a copy of the published issue.
