Star Wars Limited Engagement Premiere Handbill (1977) 1977

Before its planned wide release on July 21, 20th Century Fox became nervous that the film would be overshadowed by other big releases and decided to move the release date up to May 25th- although only about 40 theaters in the country opted to show the movie. The move was so last-minute that most theaters didn't have time to add their information to bottom of the bill, making copies like this a bit more rare than most. This promotional handbill for the 'exclusive engagement' at the Charles Cinema in Boston is in excellent condition, printed on glossy stock and measures 7 1/2" x 9 1/2".
