Pages 25-28 uncensored w/o underwear shadows. FIRST PRINTING. This is the first printing of Elektra #3. No more than 5,000 copies exist of this first printing, making it the smallest first printing ever in Marvel's history. All the remaining copies were destroyed by the printer on instructions from Marvel when it was discovered that Elektra was more underclothed than usual (pages 25-28). The second printing, which was distributed to comic stores nationwide, was retouched to render Elektra a bit more modest, but contrary to a report in Wizard Magazine (#123, page 124), no word balloons were added to aid Elektra in her new quest for modesty. Wizard reports only 2,000-3,000 copies survived the shredder, but mycomicshop.com believes the number could be 5,000--still a mighty low print run. If you are looking to add a rare Marvel comic to your collection, this book is for you... but if you order it because you misplaced your Playboy collection, you'll be sorely disappointed. Contrary to the lurid reports in Wizard and elsewhere, the Elektra first printing with a bare Elektra is pretty tame stuff. Cover by Greg Horn, story by Brian Michael Bendis and art by Chuck Austen. On a mission of assassination in Iraq, Elektra receives a shocking offer from the terrorist organization known as Hydra! But it's S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Stanley Dreyfuss who'll have to sort out the players in this deadly game of espionage -- that is, if enough of them are left alive! Cover price $2.99.
