"A Kingdom for My Kisses" with pencils by Charles Quinlan - Jennifer falls in love with Orin, a member of the diplomatic corps of the European nation of Loreno. Orin says he needs King Basil's permission and takes a photo of her to his monarch; the King decides he wants Jennifer for himself. Jennifer goes to Loreno, where Orin is being held hostage. She rejects Basil's proposal. Before he can call his guards to have Jennifer and Orin executed, Jennifer knocks him out and escapes with Orin. They will return to the USA and wed. Plus: "Playing with Fire" - Furniture designer Mike meets Lee, unaware she is the "designer-president of a successful modern furniture company" (he thinks she's the owner's daughter). They become friends, although he believes "a woman should have brains enough to stick to what nature intended...every woman's goal is marriage and family!" They fall in love, but when Mike finds out Lee is the company president, he believes she's been mocking him and leaves. Lee apologizes and offers Mike a partnership in her company...and her hand in marriage. Also: "Blueprint for Glamour" - Terry is a devoted fan of advice columnist Marla. When Terry falls in love with Kent while on vacation, she discovers Marla is her rival for his affections. Terry decides to do the opposite of what Marla would advise: she beats Kent at tennis, criticises his clothes, and asks him for dates. Kent decides he likes "a frank, honest girl" and proposes to Terry. And: "Faithless!" with pencils by Alice Kirkpatrick - Janet is engaged to Merchant Marine officer Doug. While he's away, she attends a dance school reception and is wooed by the owner Renaldo. He thinks she's wealthy because Janet borrowed a gown from the owner of the house where her parents are poor relatives and servants. Janet dates Renaldo and experiences "an ecstasy so exquisite that it was almost unendurable" when he kisses her. Janet decides to break up with Doug but learns Renaldo is a fortune hunter. When Janet gets home, Doug is there and is none the wiser. Plus: "Portrait of Deceit" with pencils by John Rosenberger - Sheryl lives with her impoverished artist uncle Carl. She steals some of his paintings and sells them to unscrupulous art dealer Mel. Mel gives her a job and Sheryl adopts his dodgy business practices. Mel sends her to a Pacific island where artist Brian lives. Brian and Sheryl fall in love and he gives her several paintings, but when he learns she's sent them to Mel, Brian destroys his portrait of Sheryl and breaks up with her. Sheryl agrees to marry Mel if he returns the paintings, but he welshes on the deal. Sheryl returns to Brian's island and they are reunited.
