Comics legend Joe Kubert won fans early in his career with his tales of Tor, a caveman struggling for survival in a world where humans co-exist with dinosaurs. Tor tries to help a tribe escape a volcanic island that is collapsing into the sea. Tor defends a village from the raiding Flatnose tribe, and helps an all-female tribe settle differences with their neighbors. Co-creators Joe Kubert and Norman Maurer put themselves into the comic to discuss the science and history of the Tor series. Plus full-page dinosaur illustrations (including a pteranodon) by Kubert.
