Hello Buddy, I have been buying the vast majority of my new comics through the Mycomicshop.com pre-order service for 11 years now. Your company's service has been consistently excellent, and I have absolutely no complaints. However, I don't think I will be placing any more orders, unless maybe for just a stray issue or trade paperback here and there. The reason is simple: after 10 years living in Detroit, I moved 7 months ago to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and since there is only one full-size comics shop in the whole U.P. (Black Ice Comics in Houghton), I have decided to give them my business in the hopes that they will stay in business far into the future. Even though your comics business has been extremely successful, I'm sure you're very aware of the struggles that many other stores experience, especially in very rural areas like this. In all honesty, I will miss the convenience of ordering from Mycomicshop and getting a box of new comics in the mail at the end of every month, not to mention the price discounts on pre-orders. Since I have corresponded with you a couple of times in past years, and since I did not want you to think that my orders were stopping due to bad service, I thought an explanatory email was in order. I will probably continue ordering my back issues through Mycomicshop.com, so I will still be an occasional customer. As an aside, when I moved from Detroit to "Up North" last year, my comic collection filled the entirety of my 2001 Ford Ranger (both the cab and the covered bed) other than the driver's seat. My slightly more than 8000 comics and 500 trade paperbacks and graphic novels may well be the largest collection in the U.P. now, although I'll never know for sure. Anyway, thanks to you and your crew for 11 superb years of comic book pre-orders. Take care.
