Pappy tricks the hostess into sitting on a tack. Pappy takes a mermaid to a dance, but Pooky Jones has to carry her and do the dancing. Popeye invents a machine to put a diaper on Swee'pea. Popeye improves his invention so that it gives babies a bath before putting on their diaper. Swee'pea is upset when he doesn't win a prize in the baby contest.
