"Wide-Open Town," art by Jack Keller; Kid Colt rides into the town of Stockton and finds that the once peaceful town has become a ruined gambling town after the town made it rich in a gold strike; He comes to the aid of a local named Charlie who is kicked out of a saloon by a local tough named Spence and forces him to apologize at gunpoint; The Kid is then asked to meet with the mayor and a group of high profile citizens who ask Kid Colt to help them clear out the gambling houses and help them rebuild their once great town.
