Cover by Bill Sienkiewicz. X/Essad Ribic/Kent Williams. THE SCOOP: The dark side of the mutant war gets their own ongoing series! A MESSAGE FROM THE FRONTLINES: "Perhaps you think you know us. That costumed charlatans such as Magneto and his ilk are representative of our people. You are wrong. We are your neighbors. Your co-workers. The homeless you callously step over on your way to your safe, meaningless jobs. We will not announce ourselves with bright red uniforms or gloating public pronouncements. We will simply strike. When you see your streets run scarlet with blood, and your cities aflame, you will know your time is at an end. "You have taken our homes from us. Our families. Our future. You despoil the world we were meant to inherit, plundering the resources that rightfully belong to our children. No more... from this day forward, The Brotherhood declares open war on humanity. Its end will not come until the power to govern rests in our hands. Or until you are, once and for all, extinct." THE CREATORS: Who is X? We don't know what his or her real name is, but we do know that he or she is writing one heck of an intense comic book! Joining this secret scribe is Essad Ribic, whose fine pencil work has been seen recently in CABLE and X-MEN 2000. And dig that wild cover by Bill Sienkiewicz! THE FORMAT: The first issue of this new monthly series is 32 pages, with ads. NOTE: X, the writer for this series, is actually Howard Mackie. Cover price $2.25.

Meticulously re-created historical sites are a staple of the bestselling Assassin's Creed series - and, in fact, are one of the main draws of Ubisoft's all-time bestselling property.
Each new game transports gamers to a different era and locale, beginning with Jerusalem in the time of the Crusades and going on to explore Renaissance-era Italy, colonial America, Paris during the French Revolution, 19th-century London, and ancient Greece and Egypt. Assassin's Creed has provided a means to walk through the past and experience world history in a firsthand, immersive way.
In Assassin's Creed: Atlas, previously unpublished maps, diagrams, and drawings illuminate all of the lands of antiquity featured across the series that have defined both real-world history and the games themselves.

Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker must stem the tide of the raging Clone Wars and forge a new bond as Jedi Knights.
After an explosion devastates Cato Neimoidia, the jewel of the Trade Federation, the Republic is blamed and the fragile neutrality of the planet is threatened. The Jedi dispatch Obi-Wan Kenobi, one of the Order's most gifted diplomatic minds, to investigate the crime and maintain the balance that has begun to dangerously shift. Amid the brewing chaos, Anakin Skywalker rises to the rank of Jedi Knight.
Despite the mandate that Obi-Wan travel alone - and his former master's insistence that he listen this time - Anakin's headstrong determination means nothing can stop him from crashing the party, and bringing along a promising but conflicted youngling. The two knights must learn a new way to work together-and they must learn quickly, to save Cato Neimoidia and its people from the fires of war.

1st printing. By Pat Farabaugh. Maurice Stokes seemed destined for greatness in the National Basketball Association. An All-American at tiny Saint Francis College in western Pennsylvania, the Pittsburgh native earned NBA Rookie-of-the-Year honors in 1956 and broke the league's single-season rebounding record in 1957. The direction of Stokes' basketball career -- and his life -- changed dramatically on March 12, 1958. During a game against the Detroit Pistons, the Cincinnati Royals star fell awkwardly and hit his head against the court. He became paralyzed from the neck down as a result of the fall. The medical bills, and the attention required, became almost insurmountable. Enter Jack Twyman. Stokes' teammate with the Royals, Twyman became Maurice's legal guardian and assumed responsibility for his friend's medical expenses. He became a tireless fundraiser for Stokes. He shared Maurice's story with anyone who would listen and he championed the cause of raising money to pay Stokes' bills. Stokes was black and Twyman was white -- in 1950s America -- but their story transcends race. It is a story of perseverance, of selflessness, of brotherhood and of an unbreakable bond. Softcover, 324 pages, Text. Cover price $29.95.

1st printing. "G.N.B. Double C!" By Seth. In Dominion, on Milverton Street there stands a handsome old building, with a pink stone façade and the familiar Canadian cartoon characters over the doorway. It was the Great Northern Brotherhood of Canadian Cartoonists, erected in 1935 and the last standing building of the once prestigious members-only organization. For years, this building, filled with art deco lamps, simple handcrafted wood furniture, and halls and halls of black-and-white portraits of Canada's best cartoonists, was where the professionals of the Great White North's active comics community met, gathered in their dark green blazers to drink cocktails, eat, dance, and discuss all things cartooning. Hardcover, 6-in. x 8-in., 136 pages, full color. Cover price $24.95.
