Hands of the Mandarin Part 2 of 6. "Once Upon a Time in China" Guest-starring Force Works. Script by Len Kaminski and Scott Benson. Pencils by Geoff Senior. Inks by Pam Eklund. Cover by Kevin Hopgood and Bob Wiacek. Story continues from Force Works (1994) #6. War Machine is deep in the People's Republic and deep in trouble! At the last possible second, Century teleported Rhodey and himself into the Chinese countryside before the Mandarin's power ring blast killed them! However now Rhodey (with his armor damaged) and Century must find civilization in order to return to the fight! Meanwhile, back at the Mandarin's fortress, Iron Man is the super-villain's powerless prisoner thanks to the anti-technology field! But Force Works is on the way to rescue him! Story continues in Iron Man 311. Cameo appearances by the Recorder, Dr. Su Yin, and the Mandarin's Avatars. Force Works Lineup: Iron Man, Century, Scarlet Witch, Spider-Woman, and the U.S. Agent. (Notes: Elements of the story cross over with Marvel Comics Presents (1988) 171. This story was reprinted in 2013 in the trade paperback: Iron Man/War Machine Hands of the Mandarin.) 32 pages.
