Issue #1

Xero is a Hugo Award-winning fanzine published by Science Fiction author Richard Lupoff and his wife, Pat Lupoff. Alongside the hardcore SF reviews and reports contributed by the likes of L. Sprague de Camp, Roger Ebert, Harlan Ellison, Frederik Pohl among others, one of Xero's greatest strengths was its reporting on comic books. And, of course, like most fanzines, Xero is also filled with lots of fan art.
Issue six features the fifth and sixth installment of the series All In Color For A Dime: "The Several Soldiers of Victory" by Dick Lupoff & "Me to Your Leader Take" by Dick Ellington. 8 1/2" x 11", loose pages bound with staples, B&W, 80 pgs. Cover price $1.00. -

1st printing. Written by Vaho. Art and cover by Felipe Flores. Welcome to the Mall – a vintage valhalla with no end in sight. And like our titular hero, its a future stuck in the past – both of which are about to erupt in a reckoning. Meet Xero, a hip loner drifting through a sea of consumption. Soaked in sweet nostalgia, he wanders dim arcades, glowing record stores, forgotten theaters and tasty food courts – living for the next item to catch his eye in a never-ending aisle of wonders. But someones missing – he can sort of recall who but...damn, has it been that long? Remember Donna. They had a time. Once. Together. And was there a baby? Was she about to have one? Maybe. Buy me and it all UNFOLDS – to a deserted world above with a past, coming to take back tomorrow. Magic vs. Science. Demons vs. Humans. The Apocalypse and Beyond. Its all here. And for some reason, so is Xero. Softcover, 136 pages, full color. Teen+ Cover price $19.99.
