Direct Edition. Sub-City Part 1 of 2. Script and art by Todd McFarlane. Cover by Todd McFarlane. In Midtown Manhattan homeless people are disappearing off the streets. And a Daily Bugle reporter suspects foul play! The wall-crawler decides to stake out the area...and wait for something or someone suspicious to show up. And sure enough...a strange creature does -- right out of the sewer system! Spider-Man wants to follow into the sewers to investigate further, but he needs to wear his old black costume for camouflage. However that's a major nonstarter for Mary Jane...since she hates Spidey's black costume! What is a married web-slinger to do? Cameo appearances by J. Jonah Jameson and Morbius. (Note: The cover is an homage to Spider-Man (1990) issue #1.) 32 pages. Cover price $1.75.
