With Easy gone, Wash decides to go back to his home town; He connects with an old pal, Gozy Gallup, but Gozy's wife tosses both of them out of the house. Wash gets a check for $3,000 for helping recover the S.S. Platonic's gold. Wash opens the Topsy-Turvey Club and is an immediate success. The law is helpless when Slaughter repeatedly vandalizes Wash's night club. Easy sets a trap for Slaughter, but Slaughter is warned and instead goes to the club where he roughs up Wash and demands the lease for the night club.
