This issue features "The Sleeping Giant" in which the Cartwrights' discovery of a buried statue leads to mystery and adventure and "Gulch of the Lost" in which Hoss and a friend are trapped at a mine that enslaves workers. Issue also has Bedrock Barnes, Prospector in "The Creature in the Cleft" and a one-page text feature "The Saga of Sitting Bull." No story/art credits given. Inside front cover has an advertisement for the "Fess Parker as Daniel Boone Trail Blazers Club." Statement of Ownership, Management, and Circulation in the book states that the comic sold an average of 253,547 copies each month. Cover price $0.12.
