Dell's classic funny-animal series included early work by former Disney animator Walt Kelly, creator of beloved comic strip Pogo. In an early Pogo story by Kelly, Owl decides that the critters of Okefenokee ought to start a painting business. Inspired, Pogo decides to go into medicine, but he starts as a tree surgeon. Jigger and Mooch go to the zoo to find food, in a story by Stanley of Little Lulu fame.
