Willkie as a candidate for president of the United States. Willkie was born into a modest family, at age eleven he got his first job. He worked through college and during the summer he worked as a farm hand. In 1916 he became a history teacher and track coach. He enlisted in the army on the first day America entered World War One. After the war he returned home to practice law he fought for labor and against the KKK. 16 pages, B&W, 8-in x 5-in.
