Dell's classic funny-animal series included early work by former Disney animator Walt Kelly, creator of beloved comic strip Pogo. In an early Pogo story by Kelly, Albert gets gigantic fish Heavy Joe to play along with his fish story. In another Kelly story, Nibble the mouse enlists the parrot to help him escape the house, but they're not ready for air travel. Jigger has to help Mooch escape after he's caught by the dogcatcher, in a story by John Stanley of Little Lulu fame.
