    • Original Cover Art for Jungle Action (1972 Marvel) Issue 19 Pencils by comics legend Gil Kane, Inks by Dan Adkins. It doesn't get more exciting, more bold, or more iconic than this! In 1976, having a black superhero travel to Georgia and directly fight the Ku Klux Klan was a risky move for a comic book to make, but it happened thanks to Billy Graham and Don McGregor, injecting this story arc with an immediacy not often seen at the time. This stunning cover marked the first of a 5-issue run that saw the groundbreaking hero's solo adventures move out of the somewhat fantastical setting of Wakanda and into Marvel's famous 'World outside your window', facing both a sinister cult and the hate group while investigating the murder of Monica Lynne's sister. Signed by Kane in top margin. Pencil, ink, and cover copy stats on comic art board. 11 1/2" x 17 1/2", B&W. NOTE: Two text stats, "In the heart of civilization..." and "Sacrifice of Blood" have been professionally replaced with recreations.
