Jerry Siegel 'Christmas Curse' Feud Letter (December 10, 1951)

    SOLD
    $6,800.00
    • "AS LONG AS I LIVE, AND AFTERWARDS, I SHALL HAUNT YOU AND YOURS. BEFORE GOD, I PUT A CURSE ON YOU" ends this letter from Jerry Siegel to Independent News Company owner Paul Sampliner, one of Siegel's more dramatic missives. Like many of Siegel's letters, it vacillates between an appeal for sympathy and an angry screed with Siegel opening by saying that he's going to have go on Relief (welfare) before he ends with the previously mentioned curse bordered in X's.

Letter is in excellent condition with no notable defects. Also included is the original mailing envelope. 8 1/2" x 11".
