Jerry Siegel Blackmail Feud Letter (December 18, 1951)
    Published 1951
    • Probably the most cryptic of all the letters sent by Siegel in this war of words, this letter is just a list of references to people and events that Siegel is threatening to use as blackmail against Donenfeld and others. Most notable are "Siegel", "HOT STORIES", "John Sumner", "Suppression of Vice", and 'Jail"- all references to Donenfeld's past work with pulps and a an incident where a man named Herbert M. Siegel took the fall for an obscenity charge being levelled against Donenfeld in 1934. Signed by Siegel. Also included is the original mailing envelope the letter was sent in. Letter is in good condition with minor rust migration from a paperclip. 8 1/2" x 11".
