The Fantastic Four of the 1610 are on their first excursion to the N-Zone (which we 616ers know as the Negative Zone) and things are...not going well! After meeting a supposedly friendly alien with the title of Nihil, Johnny beings to fall ill and collapses. Great expressions here from Kubert and Dell, especially in panels 3 and 4 as Reed and Sue skirt around the edges of disagreement about how quickly to leave- something that foreshadows where these versions of Marvel's First Family will end up in the future! Signed by Dell in lower margin. Pencil and ink on Marvel Comics art board. 11" x 17 1/4".
