Cover by Frank Thomas. Stories and art by Bill Holman, Al McWilliams, Bill Connor, William Treadwell, Bill Ely, Frank Thomas, Gaylord Du Bois, John Hampton, Frank V. Martinek, Leon A. Beroth, Al Micale, Jim Chambers, and Robert Brice. Crackajack Funnies presented reprints of classic comic strips alongside original features like The Owl. Ma Madespo and her three sons have escaped the lunatic asylum and declared war on the city, unless The Owl can stop them. Clyde Beatty takes his captured enemy Slay along, as they escape the spider-god tribe and head to the mysterious mountain. Ellery Queen investigates the murder of a gangster, but he doesn't think it's a mob hit. The gorilla cover is pretty bizarre, even for a gorilla cover. Ellery Queen; Smokey Stover; Bob and Bill; Cyclone; The Owl; Clyde Beatty; Just a Kid; Gabby Scoops; The Crusoes; Stratosphere Jim; Don Winslow of the Navy. 64 pages, Full Color. Cover price $0.10.
