Though he rallied the people and forced the conquering army out of the city, he was forced to kill Mera who attacked him viciously, blaming him for the death of her son. Additionally, though Atlantis is free of invaders, they are now surrounded and under siege. Here, we see Aquaman taking the throne for the first time since all of this began, reflecting on whether he's done any good at all.
