"Ashes, Ashes...We All Fall Down!" Script by Steven Grant and J.M. DeMatteis (assist). Pencils by Sal Buscema. Inks by Jack Abel and Mike Esposito. Cover by Ron Wilson and Terry Austin. It's an off-beat tale as a strange elf hauls Luann Bloom before a mysterious tribunal -- where she tells the story of one of the Defenders' greatest untold battles! A few years ago, Marvel's non-team encountered a female version of the powerful scientist named Yandroth! And though mind control, she was able to make the Defenders fight one another! But the Defenders' strength and acumen prevailed in the end. Defenders Lineup: Clea, Dr. Strange, Hellcat, Hulk, Nighthawk, Sub-Mariner, and Valkyrie. (Notes: The flashback story took place Defenders #68 and #69. The letters page includes a statement of ownership: average print run 268,644; average paid circulation 135,926.) 36 pages. Cover price $0.60. Grade: CGC 9.4 explanation of grade Condition: Used (collectible)
