At the request of Tony Stark, the star-spangled avenger rides an experimental capsule into the heart of a Pacific Northwest volcano! Afterwards as the scientific team discusses the accident and enjoys a fish-fry, everything seems normal. However in truth, things are far from normal! During the volcanic exposition a mysterious glowing substance was released and subsequently contaminated the local streams and food supply! And now anyone who ate the tainted fish is going crazy! Fortunately, the Sentinel of Liberty did not eat the fish! But unfortunately, Shell-Head did! Oh no! And on a snowy hillside in the Cascade Mountains, Captain America battles the Invincible Iron Man to the cold and bitter end! Second story: "A Soldier's Story" Script by Randall Frenz. Pencils by Mark Bagley. Inks by Mike DeCarlo. Reb Ralston recalls one of his World War II adventures (with Cap, Bucky, Nick Fury, Dum Dum Dugan, and the Howling Commandos) to rescue Howard and Maria Stark from the clutches of the Red Skull.
