    Katzenjammer Kids in Monkey Business. Stories, art and cover by Harold Knerr. Pioneering comics publisher David McKay's Feature Book was the first US comic book to devote complete issues to a single character. This issue reprinted the long-running comic strip Katzenjammer Kids. The original German Bart Simpson x2, the Kids are up to constant mischief, usually directed against the stern authority figures in their lives: their long-suffering Mama, Der Captain (a stranded sailor and their surrogate father), and the schools envoy, Der Inspector. Also featuring an illustrated biography of artist H. H. Knerr and an introduction to the Katzenjammer Kids strip. The Kids feed a magnet to a turtle, to play a little Calaveras Jumping Frog trick on Mama. Each issue includes 32 one-page Katzenjammer Kids stories. 36 pages, Full Color. Cover price $0.10.
