Dobie then imagines Thalia and himself in colonial times. Finally, Maynard imagines Dobie with a genie (played by Maynard), who ends up stealing Thalia. But in the real world, Thalia finds her rich boy isn't so rich and returns to Dobie's arm in The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis tale (untitled; complete in three parts).
