"The Hostage," art by Fred Kida; While riding across the range the Ringo Kid realizes that he is being followed and puts on a chase; Unsure if he is dealing with lawmen or not, the Kid jumps up into a nearby tree and sends Arab ahead to lead his pursuers on a wild goose chase; As the men pass by, he recognizes one of them as an outlaw named Blackjack Kane, but notices that they are wearing sheriff stars. "Trail of Thunder" text story. "The Poachers!", art by Fred Kida; The Ringo Kid comes to the aid of his friend Dull Knife who has been tied up by and places on his horse by a gang of poachers led by a man named Tarlowe; The Kid sends Tarlowe and his men into fleeing and frees Dull Knife; He learns from his friend that Tarlowe and his men have been poaching buffalo on Comanche land which threatens to send the Comanches on the warpath. "Desperate Hour!", art by Fred Kida; The Ringo Kid is camping out for the night when he is suddenly interrupted by Sheriff Gil Ransom, who has not come to arrest the Ringo Kid, but to ask for his help; He explains that his sixteen year old son Joe idolizes the Ringo Kid and wants to become an outlaw. "One Must Die!", art by Fred Kida; The Ringo Kid is riding along the rang when he hears a gunshot and goes to investigate; He comes across a man standing over a dead body and gets the drop on him; Refusing to let the shooter go, the Kid searches the dead man and finds a warrant written by Marshal Cameron to arrest Buzzard Brady for murder and take him to Yuma prison. 36 pgs., full color. "The Phantom Raiders," art by Fred Kida; While riding along the range the Ringo Kid spots a wagon out of control and rushes to stop it; Once he gets the horses to stop, the Kid finds that the stage is missing its riders and cargo; Finding this strange he decides to backtrack the stage to solve the mystery; The Ringo Kid gets to a nearby canyon when the sheriff of Fargo City and his posse catch up with him. "The Golden Spur," art by Fred Kida; The Ringo Kid comes across an old fort build by the Spanish Conquistadors many years before; Seeing a fire raging around the building, the Kid rides out to see if there is anyone trapped inside; Ordering his horse Arab to dive over the flames he comes across a man named Pilar Juarez caught in the blaze; Pilar tells Ringo to recover the golden spur before a gang of outlaws can get it, directing the hero to the nearby armory where the spur is hidden in a cannon. 36 pgs., full color. "Duel At Dawn," art by Fred Kida; The Ringo Kid is riding along a mountain pass when he comes across a man hanging on for dear life on the remains of a collapsed rope bridge; With the help of his horse Arab, the Ringo Kid swings down and pulls the man to safety; The old man thanks the Kid for his help and introduces himself as Matt Carmody, the circuit judge for the district. "Calico Pony," art by Fred Kida; The Ringo Kid is in a saloon refilling his canteen when a young boy rushes in asking for help; The Kid tries to calm the boy, when suddenly a man comes bursting in and demands that the boy give up his Calico pon. "Freeze Or Fight," art by Fred Kida; Arriving in the town of Bowstring, the Ringo Kid finds the sheriff and his posse waiting for him; The sheriff tells the Kid that the only way he will allow him into town, with his reputation, is if the Kid agrees to turn over his guns; With no choice, the Ringo Kid agrees and turns over his guns; He is spotted by two men named Lobo and Zack who decide to get a reputation for themselves even though the Ringo Kid does not have any guns on him. 36 pgs., full color. "Dead Man's Duel," art by Fred Kida; The Ringo Kid has agreed to face Cabe Tilden to duel it out in an enclosed area after he and Hank Sawyer swindled Jim Connor's ranch; They agree to clamp a kerchief between each others teeth, promising only to draw and shoot once they both drop it. "Vengeance Is Mine," art by Fred Kida; Sheriff Sam Kimball has been gunned down Gila Bass with the Ringo Kid coming to his side; As he dies, Kimball hands the Ringo Kid his guns and tells him not to get revenge against Bass, telling him that somehow he will get revenge himself, telling the Kid to hang up his guns in his office. "The Wreckers," art by Joe Maneely; The Ringo Kid, his father Cory Rand, and Dull Knife cross paths with the Shilo gang who are herding horses and they identify that horses have been stolen and use force to take the stolen horses; They then follow the back trail and reunite the stolen horses with their proper owners, a group of religious homesteaders who are looking for new land to settle in. "The Coward," art by Joe Maneely; Outside a casino in Longhorn the Ringo Kid watches as a man backs out of with guns blazing. The Kid recognizes him as Zack Bolt the fastest gun in the region and wonders why he has backed out of a fight; When Ringo asks him why he backed out of a fight, Zack tells the Kid that he refuses to use his guns ever again.
