    Cover by Buddy Saunders, owner of Mycomicshop and Lone Star Comics. Buddy's cover stars the Timely Golden Age superhero The Vision. Published by Chuck Wooley in 1968. Larry Herndon's "Fandom's Library" continues, as does "A Listing Of Whitman Material" by Dale Manesis. Dale's installment is a very detailed alphabetical list of the Whitman BLBs, from Dick Tracy 1454 to Little Orphan Annie 1403. There are a lot of other features, including a list of current fanzines, a Panelology Quiz, a Krazy Kat article, and Justice Society portraits by Bill Wilson. For many, the highlight is three pages of photos from the 1968 Dallas SW convention. Pictured are Ken Finnerty, Larry and Irving Bigman, Chuck Wooley, Fritz Leiber, Larry Herndon, Tom Reamy, Gary Acord, Caz, Boyd and Dee, Paul McSpadden, Bill Wallace, and G. B. Love. "For Sale" ad highlights find Buddy Saunders offering Avengers 1 for $3.25, Spider-Man 13 for $1.25, Marvel Super Heroes 13 for 50c, and X-Men 4 at $1. There are a lot of other features, including numerous fan art illos, fanzine reviews, an X-Men Quiz, reminisces from a Golden Age collector who began collecting about 1940, and more info on foreign comics. For some, the highlight is three pages of photos from the 1968 St. Louis Gateway comic book convention. Pictured are many young fans, a dealer's table with (among other comics), More Fun 52, Flash 1 and Captain America 1, plus screen captures from the movie Metropolis and the serial Curse Of The Aztec Mummy. Other pics include Roy Thomas, and shots of Marvel original art covers. "For Sale" ad highlights find Buddy Saunders (founder and owner of My Comic Shop) mentioning that "Every month I receive hundreds of comics," plus ads offering Amazing Fantasy 15 for $7.50, Avengers 1 for $2.50, and X-Men 1 for $3.00.     Cover by Buddy Saunders, owner and founder of MyComicShop. Published by Chuck Wooley in 1968. This is a double issue. Larry Herndon's "Fandom's Library" continues. Other features include a list of movie serials, a panelology quiz, a short interview with Syd Shores, fanzine reviews, "The Evolution Of EC Horror," and an article on comic strip collecting. A 14 page history of the comics, told exclusively through key comic covers, is an issue highlight (extremely good reproduction). Ronn Foss and Jim Jones are among the interior artists. There are many pages of ads, with noteworthy offerings including All Star 8 for $35., Batman 1 for $125., Jungle Girl 1 (Nyoka) for $4., Mad 1 for $15., Planet 4 for $22. and Shock Suspenstories 6 for $8. Buddy Saunders has a full page ad, which includes Fantastic Four 48 for 50c, and 52 for 30c. Silver Surfer 1 was $1. A great many other fascinating ads are also present.
