This series was designed to tie in with the Charlie Chan radio series then airing on the Mutual network. Chan and his son seek a killer who uses poison darts on a remote island. Chan meets Inspector Mason of Scotland Yard as they investigate a strange case involving a living chess game. Chan and son encounter a communist femme fatale (wearing a red dress with a star) while trying to prevent a bombing on an American cruiser. First issue to feature the Comics Code seal on the cover.
