Blondie the Model Homemaker. Stories, art and cover by Chic Young, plus an introduction by Clark Kinnaird. Pioneering comics publisher David McKay's Feature Book was the first US comic book to devote complete issues to a single character. This issue reprinted Blondie Sunday strips from 1942. The foibles of an ex-flapper who finds domestic bliss with her everyman husband became one of the longest-running comic strips of the 20th century, spawning a series of movies and even a sandwich shop. The cover features the male main character wearing a dress, not a common sight in 1944. 48 pages, Full Color. Cover price $0.10.
