Vol. 1, No. 1 - January 1952. Fawcett Publications. This is not the same Adam magazine that competed with Playboy a few years later. This magazine is much more consistent with men's action/adventure magazines of the period so the great cover is a bit misleading. This first issue features articles on: Yvonne of the Folies Bergere; Shoeless Joe Jackson; a whaling harpoon gunner; strange but true curiosities; profile of a stone age man; Davy Jones' jewels; dangerous beasts; underwater photography; gambling cheats; midget car racing; horse wrangling; mountain climbing; and that old favorite, prostate trouble. 8.5" x 11", 80 pages, B&W Cover price $0.25.
