    Written and illustrated by Frederick J. Waugh. Hoping to find the same success as other works of children's literature like Alice in Wonderland, Waugh's illustrations were inspired by weather worn spruce tree roots that the artist picked up on the island of Monhegan when there painting marine life. Sadly, few copies sold at the time and this has since become an extremely scarce and sought after title. Hardcover, 13" x 9.35", 58 pages, B&W.
