Cover by Charles Schulz. Stories and art by Anthony Pocrnich, Dale Hale and John Stanley. The three Peanuts issues of Four Color (1942-1962 Dell 2nd Series) count as the first three issues, in Dell's reckoning. A short-lived series translating Charles Schulz' beloved strip to comic books; Schulz only did the covers, farming out the interior stories to friends and co-workers. After Schroeder tosses an unwanted ring in her direction, Lucy starts telling everyone that she and Schroeder are engaged. Snoopy takes emergency measures to keep infant Sally out of trouble. Charlie Brown and Linus manage to catch a large fish, but when they find out what "cleaning" the fish really means, they throw it back. Plus a Sluggo story (as in Nancy and Sluggo) written by Little Lulu legend John Stanley. The Blowout; The Engagement Ring; Exploded Theory; The Junk King; Snoopy: The Haunted Hound; Blanket Washing Day; Sluggo: Crossed Blades; Muddled Menu; Fish Story; The Fabulous Outfielder. 32 pages, Full Color. Cover price $0.10.
