Mail-order exclusive. This is the 'male' Captain Universe cover/story (also printed with a variant 'female' Captain Universe). Each comic is individually numbered and was originally distributed with a similarly numbered Captain Universe trading card, sometimes loose and sometimes glued to front of the comic (if card is no longer present with any given copy, it will be noted). Some issues may also have had a backing board spot-glued inside the comic book to protect it during shipping. Cover art and trading card art by The Hildebrandt Brothers. "Sleeping Giants" written by Bob Budiansky and penciled by Jim Craig. The comic also has a double fold out, perforated back cover featuring flip-side poster art, also by the Hildebrandt Brothers.
