1st printing. Written by Paul Ruditis. Art and cover by Patrick Faricy. This hilarious parody firmly plants Klingons at the center of the Christmas story - where they rightly should be - and includes everything from a Santa equipped with retractable claws, Tribbles in the stockings of naughty Klingon boys and girls, and the warmth of a hot cup of mulled blood wine. A Very Klingon Khristmas recounts, in rhyming verse, the treasured children's story of the birth of revered warrior Kahless and celebrates the rich Klingon Christmas traditions originating on Qo'noS and spreading across the Star Trek universe. Illustrated in a nostalgiac Norman Rockwell-inspired style, A Very Klingon Khristmas is the perfect holiday gift for every Trekkie. Hardcover, 9-in. x 9-in., 32 pages, full color. Cover price $16.99.

1st printing. What could possibly account for the scope and longevity of the Star Trek phenomenon? With legions of impassioned fans and a life span of 30 years and counting, the Star Trek television and film corpus has made Gene Roddenberry's creation nothing less than an American mythology. Deep Space and Sacred Time examines for the first time in book-length form the many ways Star Trek has served as a mythic reference point for American society--and suggests that an understanding of this might help us to see ourselves more clearly as a culture. Moreover, this thoughtful and thought-provoking work posits that Star Trek offers its audience a sense of hope and, in the setting of an orderly cosmos, the possibility for empowerment. 1st printing. Adapted by Paul Ruditis. Based on the story by Rick Berman and Brannon Braga. The Starship Enterprise NX-01 has carried its crew farther into the reaches of space than any human has ever travelled. Commanded by Captain Jonathan Archer, they have charted new stars, explored planets, and made first contact with many alien races. The Paraagan deep-space colony was just another first contact, unusual only in two aspects: it was a matriarchal society, and the planet's upper atmosphere was filled with a highly volatile gas. But the officers of Enterprise knew how to handle their shuttlepod, and they understood the Paraagan landing protocols. As the shuttlepod descended, they closed the plasma vents, certain that nothing could escape and ignite the gas. Thirty-six hundred colonists were vaporized in the blast. Every building, every living thing, everything on the surface was destroyed in the fireball. Could the Enterprise crew have caused the destruction? Recalled, Archer knows that the Vulcan High Command has convinced Starfleet of what they have long insisted. Humans are not ready for deep-space exploration. But these were not the events as history recorded them. No one died. Enterprise was never recalled. This is the startling information offered by the mysterious Crewman Daniels -- who claims to be from the thirty-first century and a foot soldier in the temporal cold war. Archer sets out to prove Enterprise's innocence. But time is a swiftly moving river in whose deadly rapids Enterprise is caught. Is there really anything they can do? Hardcover, 5-in. x 8-in., 244 pages, Text Only. Cover price $19.95.

1st printing. By John Peel. Star Trek was largely based on the triangle between the Captain, the Doctor, and the Science Officer. Kirk balanced the humanity and wisdom to create a dynamo of action. To many, though, the most interesting character on the series was the Engineer, Montgomery Scott, so ably played by James Doohan. It was Scott who combined the wisdom of the past with the science of the future. This then is the story of the Engineer and his ship! Softcover, 8 1/2-in. x 11-in., 58 pages, B&W. Cover price $6.95.
