Amazing Spider-Man (1963 1st Series) Golden Record Reprint 1COMIC CGC 9.4 Comic Only Variant
Paper: Off white
Golden Record Reprint
Label #4417201001
Starts Jan 3 COMIC ONLY NO RECORD. The Amazing Spider-Man Golden Record Reprint (28-pages, full-color, standard comic format) was produced in 1966 and reprints Amazing Spider-Man #1. Although the reprint, at first glance, looks like the original, there are differences. There is no cover price on the reprint, and the back cover, as well as the inside covers, promote the Golden Record LP series of which the Amazing Spider-Man #1 is a part. The four Marvel Golden Record LPs came with a reprint comic, and each originally sold for $2.49 (record and comic together). In addition to the Amazing Spider-Man LP, there were records produced for Thor (Journey into Mystery #83), Avengers #4; and Fantastic Four #1, all with their own reprint comic. We bought these sets when they first appeared and can still remember following the story in the comic reprint while the record played and the narrator read the story to us. Just to make sure we didn't lose our place, he would say "Turn page," each time he finished the last panel on a page.

Marvel Mini Books Thor (1966) YELLOW NM 9.4
Starts Jan 3 The Thor Marvel Mini Book is one in a set of 6 released in 1966 via gumball vending machines. These are the smallest "comics" ever made, measuring just 5/8-in. x 7/8-in. with 50 black-and-white interior pages, and glossy covers (in various bright background colors). Whereas the Wham-O Giant Comics is the largest comics series ever produced (about full newspaper dimensions), this little Marvel Mini series of six represents the world's smallest comics set! The complete Marvel Mini Books series featured one book each for: Captain America, the Hulk, Millie the Model, Sgt. Fury, Spider-Man, and Thor. Each title was released in six different colors (Blue, Green, Lime, Orange, Red and Yellow). NOTE: Way back in 1966, Buddy Saunders, Lone Star Comics/mycomicshop.com's owner bought several bags of these little gems. Over the years, he gave many away to customers who placed back issue orders, and sold others for $5 to $10 each as they grew scarce. Today, these tiny little comics are very difficult to find, but make a cool addition to any comics collection.
