The third (or fourth, depending on how you count it) Charlton series to feature the Blue Beetle introduces the Silver Age BB, Ted Kord (after his debut as a backup character in Captain Atom). In one of the first superhero "reboots," Spider-Man co-creator Steve Ditko gives the Golden Age hero a new look, new tech, and a new alter ego, then sets him against the Squid Gang.
