Fantastic work from Hampton here, especially in the centerpiece 5th panel as Jenny (embellished with some grease pencil!) faces her breaking point. Signed by Hampton in lower margin. In surprise twist, Chili is the hero of this story as Millie, forced into assuming the role of Princess Anne of Alberia, desperately tries to find a way to NOT become a glamorous princess! A beautiful, richly textured piece from the brothers Hampton that sadly did not see print! Likely intended for a story involving Poison Ivy, the Hamptons do a brilliant job of contrasting the iconic figure of the Batman, typically found in concrete jungles, with the all-consuming and ever cycling growth of plant life. Signed by the artists in lower right margin. Also included is a letter of authenticity from Bo Hampton indicating the provenance of the piece.
