First appearance of Blaze Carson (unnamed) in "The Sheriff"; The Sheriff is spending his quiet day playing checkers with one of the locals when he hears someone beating up on a horse. "Gun Guard for Boot-Hill!"; The Sheriff is called out into the street because there is trouble with the incoming stagecoach; Rushing outside he finds that the shotgun rider has been killed, the third this week.
