One-Shot. Special Issue published by Western Publications gathering articles by Milt Hinkle. Born in Texas, Hinkle was a rodeo personality and traveled with various shows, such as the Buffalo Bill Cody Wild West Show. He performed as a bronc rider and bulldogger. During the 1920s, Hinkle moved to Kissimmee, Florida, where he founded the Silver Spurs Rodeo show and continued performing until he sustained injuries while bulldogging that left him partially crippled in 1931. Later in life, he authored several articles on his life, rodeos, and the Old West which appeared in the magazines "True West", "Old West", and "Frontier Times". Includes numerous photos from the author's collection. 8.25" x 11". 64 pages. Black and white.

Official Ballot for the Alley Awards - 1967. When Jerry Bails created the Academy of Comic-Books Arts and Sciences (later renamed Academy of Comic-Book Fans and Collectors) as the first official organization of comic book enthusiasts and historians, his friend and legendary comics historian, Roy Thomas, decided there needed to be comic industry awards as well. The Alley became the first known comic book fan awards and were first presented in 1962.

Krazy Little Comics (1967 Topps): The Amusing Spider-Guy is one of sixteen parody mini-comics originally produced as test market items in 1967, by the Topps Chewing Gum Company. They did not see full national distribution. All were written by Roy Thomas and feature Wally Wood cover and interior art. These minis spoof not only Marvel and DC super-heroes, but other comic characters as well, like the Phantom, Prince Valiant, and Tarzan. These possibly predate, or are at least contemporaneous with, Not Brand Ecch! #1 (08/1967), and are among the rarest of the Merry Marvel Marching Society era items. Full color, 2.5-in. x 3.5-in., no cover price.

Also, the prefix 'D' was added to the code number and would remain throughout the 1960s. These are known as the 'D' series. Each of the twelve different D series sets contains all comics or a combination of comics and a number of prize coupons which are complete at 42 items.
