Has a 35c cover price, but was likely a promotional giveaway. Digest-sized, 68-pages, full color. Home Sewing Made Easy is undated, but is late 1940s or early 1950s vintage. A comic book story relating to sewing fills half the magazine. The remainder is instructional and is likewise done in comic book format. From Buttonholes, tucks and pleats, and pattern alterations, to a faced-neck placket, it's all here. Via colorful comic-style panels, the basic machine and attachments are also explained, along with necessary notions and techniques. Everything you'd expect to find in a good sewing instruction book is here, with the added bonus of wonderful illustrations. Seams, hems, plackets, darts, tucks, pleats, buttonholes, pockets, color and fabrics, measuring, cutting, and assembling your garment are all explained. Cover price $0.35.

How Helen Landed Her Man (circa 1950s) is a promotional comic book distributed by the Mojud Stocking Co. and produced by the Vic Herman Studios, which was active in the 1940s as a comic book publisher and packager. When Helen Hart's stocking sales get low, her boss stops hitting on her and starts yelling at her! Fortunately, she is visited by Mr. Magic Motion, the Mojud Man - a caped imp (and possible deal-making demon) who advises her to promote Mojud stockings featuring "magic motion." After forming what might be called a "pact" with Mr. Magic Motion, Helen's sales skyrocket, and her boss asks her out -- but will the price be her eternal soul??? That part isn't covered in this 8 page promotional comic, so the reader is left to wonder. Mojud Stockings with "magic motion" -- for perfect fit, longer wear, and greater beauty! 8 pages, red and black ink on white paper stock, 5.5-in. x 7.75-in., heavier white paper stock.

This comic discusses the use of gasoline and how much gas is needed to operate automobiles. It shows that in the 1930s gas was 16.2 cents a gallon and by the time the late fifties rolled around the cost was up to 31 cents pre gallon (kind of puts modern day gas prices in perspective now doesn't it). 8 pages, full color, newsprint, 7-in. x 10-in. with no cover price.
