    It's Time for Bryant (1960) was one of the first comic books that used a strong, pro-segregation stand to help a southern candidate get elected to statewide Produced by commercial comics as a promotional giveaway comic mailed to homes in Florida for C. Farris Bryant, who was elected governor of Florida. Bryant's campaign manager wrote a letter to Commercial Comics, citing the comic as "a primary factor in Bryant's election as governor."
