Dell Publishing's first attempt at a comic book. While it did include original material, and was sold on newsstands, it was published on fragile newsprint (including the covers) rather than the standard format that came later. This first issue featured a Deadwood Gulch tale, and other strips by future Sparky Watts creator Boody Rogers: Rock Age Roy, Campus Clowns, and Sancho and the Don. Frosty and Goofy stow away on a polar expedition, but they make the mistake of unpacking their lunches while hiding in the sled-dog kennels.
